Won Grammy for Best Country Song, “Broken Halos”!

So proud, grateful, humbled & excited to win a Grammy for Best Country Song, “Broken Halos” with fellow songwriter & good friend, extraordinary artist, Chris Stapleton.  I wasn’t there to accept the award but Chris’ acceptance speech meant a lot to me. It was my fourth Grammy nomination and first win.

Here’s from The Boot:

Songwriters Chris Stapleton and Mike Henderson took home the trophy for Best Country Song, for "Broken Halos," at the 2018 Grammy Awards. Stapleton, who had won Best Country Solo Performance minutes before, called it "unbelievable" to win the award with his "good friend" Mike Henderson, his long-time bandmate in bluegrass band the SteelDrivers. “To win this with him means so, so much to me," Stapleton said from stage. Seemingly overcome with emotion at what the win signified, Stapleton mentioned the time the pair spent touring in a van and honing their songwriting skills. Once again, Stapleton reiterated that the award “means a great deal,” and sent out thanks.

Check out the video of Chris and lovely Morgane performing the song at the CMA show.
